Chemlux journey to ISO certification

Chemlux Industries kicked off its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System implementation with an awareness course held last 30 July 2011 at the Alano Hall of the Philippine Navy Golf club in Taguig City.

Despite the heavy downpour, all employees were present and actively participated in this whole day seminar-workshop.

Aries Macam of Global Competitiveness facilitated the workshops that included an understanding of the Eight Quality Management Principles and how they are applied to the company. Another workshop was held after lunch which focused on the goals and objectives of Chemlux and how ISO 9001 can help achieve them. The employees were likewise motivated to overcome the business challenges that the company is expected to face in the next three years.

The course highlight was when each group presented their thoughts and ideas and everyone was amazed at the inputs shared by their colleagues. Albeit a few heated but meaningful discussions, the workshops provided the participants with a greater awareness of quality, team work and commitment.

Overall the activity was fun and ended with a short message from the General Manager, Mr. Jose Raquel Santos. In his message, he encouraged all the employees to help bring the ISO journey towards its successful completion as he affirmed his own commitment to the project with enthusiasm and conviction.
